Settlements

Each player starts the game with a single settlement, but can grow this to a maximum of 10 total settlements/castles. You may gain more castles by conquering an enemy in battle. All of a player's castles can be captured, with the exception of one - your capital - but note, if your capital is inactive for 14 days or more, enemy players are allowed to capture it once more. In the beginning, your capital is your initial settlement, but you may change this once in the round, if you wish, from the options menu.

If you feel particularly vulnerable at any point, you may enter a protection once per round, for free. When you are in protection, you cannot attack active players or be attacked. You also can't use the VIP option to regain loyalty.

Note that if someone is currently attacking you, the activation of protection mode won't save you - i.e., you are only protected against future attacks, not current ones.

Overpopulation

If you hire additional population to work for you (a premium feature), you may become overpopulated after the hiring period is over. If you have not constructed enough Homes within the 7 day hiring time to house all additional population, you will be required to resolve your overpopulation problem. To do this, you can reduce your number of workers, hire population again for another 7 days, or release some of your army (if it is in your castle).

Conquering a Castle

To capture a settlement/castle, you must reduce its loyalty to 0 in an attack. To reduce the loyalty of a castle you must attack it with Noblemen, and win. The amount of loyalty reduced by each surviving Nobleman is outlined on the unit's page. Note that if the castle you attack is a capital, you may not conquer it, unless it has been inactive for 14 days or more.

The loyalty of every castle is 10,000, and Loyalty gradually recovers over time, based on the level of the player's Order - see the table below. Also, if the defender of a castle wins a battle in which there are Noblemen, the loyalty of that castle will increase instead of decreasing, based on the number of surviving Noblemen. You also have an option to spend coins to increase loyalty - see the Premium Features page for more information.

Order Level Loyalty
0 125 per ~1 hour
1 300 per ~1 hour
2 450 per ~1 hour
3 600 per ~1 hour

There is also a coefficient that reduces the effect of an attacker's Nobleman - this depends on the level of the Order in defender's castle.

  • 1st level - 75%
  • 2nd level - 50%
  • 3rd level - 25%

If the loyalty of a castle falls below 3,000, even if the castle is not a capital all marches sent from this castle automatically return to protect it. This means that if you send an army elsewhere to patrol, attack, gather, etc., the army will return to the castle immediately - even if it has not yet accomplished its mission. This is only invalid for a transfer march - i.e., permanently sending your army to another of your castles.

Account Restart

This option can be used only when all your castles have reached up to 10,000 loyalty. When using this option, your account will be completely reset - experience, available army, buildings, etc. The name, mailbox, and all available coins are saved, and you are given a new coordinate on the map. After a restart every player has the opportunity to choose approximate coordinates on the game map. After level 5 the player must wait 12 hours before a restart. When a player decides he wants to restart his account, a countdown starts. After 12 hours from this point, the player can choose whether to restart, or to continue playing.
