Resources

There are six resources in Utopia Kingdoms. The four basic resources are Gold, Iron, Wood, and Food. You can obtain these resources by building Gold Mines, Iron Mines, the Lumbermill, and Farms. Note that none of these are a dominating resource, and are each used in differing amounts for different buildings, units, and upgrades - therefore it is important to strike a balance between your resources, based on what you have a need for. You can produce more of a given resource by assigning more people to work in a building, and by increasing the level of that building.

You can store these basic resources in a Store House, and as you find your resources reaching their maximum level faster, you should build up the level of your Store House. You may also protect some of your resources from your enemies, in an attack, by building a Guard Station. The quantity of each resource that you may protect increases with the level of your Guard Station. It is possible to trade resources on the market, with other players, if you have a Marketplace. The number of offers you may place, and the quality of the deals you can make, depends largely on the level of your Marketplace.

Population is another important resource - every level of every building requires 10 units of your population, as they require your subjects to work in them. Note also that some of your battle units require more than one unit of population - as they must have attendants to assist them with their armour, to help them sharpen their swords, or to supply them with magical reagents.

The final sixth resource is the loyalty of your subjects. It is a number between 1 and 10,000. If this goes below 0, then you have lost your settlement - and if you don’t have another, you have been beaten - and are out of the game! The special unit, the Nobleman, has the ability to convince the subjects of another settlement that their current ruler is weak, and can persuade them to join an attacker. Loyalty regenerates at a base rate of 125 per hour - depending on the level of the Order.
